Nagaland: A Memorable Stay in Wangti

Wangti was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and memorable places we visited during our Gyan-Setu journey. Nestled amidst breathtaking landscapes, this remote village offered us an experience unlike any other. We had never imagined that we would have the opportunity to visit such a serene and picturesque place. Watching the entire village disappear beneath a blanket of clouds was truly mesmerizing. The cool, misty weather added to the charm, creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. During our stay, we were hosted by TP Pongyao Konyak, President of the Eastern Nagaland GB’s Union, whose hospitality was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. It seemed as though the entire village had gathered to greet us, and people knew who we were and the purpose of our visit. Their kindness and openness made us feel at home despite being far away from our own. One of the highlights of our stay was the cultural exchange with the villagers. They enthusiastically shared their traditions, stories, and way of life, while also showing great interest in learning about our culture. These interactions created meaningful connections and deepened our appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of the region. Wangti was more than just a destination—it was an experience filled with warmth, community, and genuine human connection. The beauty of the village, the generosity of its people, and the positive energy that surrounded us made it difficult to say goodbye.
